I had hospital appointment today, apart from waiting 2 hours to see my dr it was good news.
He was very pleased with my progress and said I need to start weaning myself off my crutches, which I told him I had being doing anyway, I only use one round the house. Despite it being only just over 5 weeks I can now sleep on my side, not op side and must keep my legs straight not cross them. Pain now a thing of the past, well almost, can manage with just the odd paracetamol and Ibruprofen. Still have to take things easy till it's been 3 months.
He also told me to start gently massaging the op site with a moisturiser like E45 to help relax the muscles in that area.
Best news is I haven't got to go back for a year now, bad news is got to be careful of my knees as arthur is beginning to attack them more now. He's a little so and so isn't he, won't be happy till all our joints are made of plastic and metal.

You are doing well, Rita. :D:D Keep up the good work, but be sensible, (easier said than done, sometimes!) but I know you are :lol:

The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.

Oh bless you I can't believe this is happening to you.
Fingers, toes, everything crossed for you. I really hope they get it over and done with soon, I can't believe the difference it's made in such a short time.
Take care, I'll have to uncross my toes to get around but everything else will stay crossed.

Thanks everyone for your good wishes.
I'm going OUT tomorrow evening for the first time for ages. OH is doing a gig at a friends pub. It's going to be a bit of a party as it's her birthday and her husbands, so I'm really looking forward to it.
I have a problem though, I've got nothing to wear, I've lost nearly 2 stone so everything is too big, wow I never thought I'd be saying that. I'm going to raid my daughters wardrobe,
