Hi All,

£$%%@*&% clinic visit. :x

Oooo ... I feel better for that! I can't translate it because I don't want to cause others worry, besides I don't know who looks at this, and the tale would identify me immediately! Anyway Jean123 (our mod) would be shocked at the turn of phrase!

Is there anyone else who talks to a 'brick wall' or is it just me?

Small explanation/apology .. today 21 July

    Hi Jeannie

Sorry your bashing a brick wall. I am so lucky with the Rumo....... However...... Every other consultant I see its a case of back up 6 yards, put your head down and hit the wall so I do sympathise with you. I don't know the answer..... mine now is to refuse to see one completely!:lol: Not good for treatment/diagnosis but my argument is he wasn't doing either in the first place! ((( ))) and maybe next time will be better? Hello, Sounds as if you've had really #)@% time! I'm sorry, its hard to think of the best way of dealing with a situation like that
(well, I can think of some, but they'd land you in trouble)!

Seriously, can you talk to someone else on the medical team that treats you, your GP or nurse? Thats my best suggestion for now! :( Hope things sort out a bit for you. Love Sue

could you t ry contacting the hospital PALS service - their job is to liaise between patients and hospital staff to sort out these kind of problems.

    Hi Jeannie

Sorry to hear your clinic visit did not go at all well - that was put politely wasn't it?:lol:

Yes, I think most people feel they are talking to a brick wall at times. Does your head in, doesn't it?

Hope you are feeling calmer today. :)

    Luv

The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.

Thanks for your messages following my outburst. It was all about a very important test that had been done, duly filed and never been actioned ...... a year ago. Anyway this is how things are at the moment: (just a little smile, I hope)

Husband scraped me off the ceiling,
And he sat me in a chair,
    Now I’m having English lessons
That will teach me not to swear.
    We’re working on my breathing,
So that rather than get stressed
    When consultants just don’t listen,
I can let my temper rest.

I can smile and be all jolly,
Though I feel a total wreck
And want to leap out of the chair
    To wring their flippin’ neck.
I can play the little woman
Who needs care and soothing ways,
When for real I’d like to tell him
Where to go and spend his days!

    My BP now has settled
And my spirit’s not so low.
    Think I can recuperate.
A week or so to go
    Until I hail the ‘transport’
Setting off with deep distain –
I promise you … no swear words ….
‘Cos I’ve got to go again!

ooh this made me smile as I know exactly how you feel most of my rheumy appointments make me feel like that. Not so much as I am talking to a brick wall more like I have just run (well shuffled very fast!) at one! Thank goodness it isn't just me.

What a fantastic way to sum up in a positive way what must have been a terrible time.

I hope it works ... and if it does perhaps you could run training courses for the rest of us? :!:
