Luck at last, my rheumatologist is going to see me as an emergency just before I go away on holiday.
Let's hope I can get some help so that I can enjoy my hols.
Also to set the wheels in motion to get my CTS tests set up.
10th Sept was such a long time to wait.

Had a mammoth day with my grandsons yesterday and worked every muscle to the limit when we took them to the local theme park we have just down the road. Walked for miles, well it seemed like it. Kill or cure?

    Hi Joy

Great news getting the emergency appointment. :D Although you worked overtime yesterday I am sure you had a good day and hopefully slept well too or better than you often do. Kill or cure? You are here to tell the tale, so must be cure!!!!:lol:

Hope your day is going ok.
    Luv

The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.

    Hi girls

Certainly feel stiff and sore from yesterday, but I think it did me good. My hips is hurting the most, but at least I can tell rheumy I am trying to exercise andtrying to lose weight.
Had to do my MTX injection late last night because with having the boys around sort of forgot and if I had done it at my usual time of mid afternoon, I would have fallen asleep before getting the meal ready. I had cooked a chicken the night before and thought there would be enough for two days. The boys stripped it bare, and they are only 6 and 5. Must have made them hungry with all the exercise. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm  :lol::lol:

I'm taking the out again tomorrow and looking after all three of them too. Youngest is 21/2. The problem is if I have to pick him up. Just do not have the strength in my arms.

    Hi Joy,

That is good news and I really hope they will do something to help.

Kill or cure is my motto! When they put me on the pregabalin first I had one almost pain free day..... and I was a bit stoned as well, anyway spent the day playing with a 3 year old, I even climbed a tree...... That was so nearly the kill! The following day the tablets didn't work as well and everything hurt, glad I didn't have to see the rumo for a bit imagine explaining that one!:wink:

    take care,
    Cris

Friday was spent getting the house straight ready for Sun BBQ and shopping. Had plenty in the freezer anyway. As usual, get too much. Told myself not to go to any trouble this time  I always try to make it look like the royal chefs been or Jamie Oliver. Perhaps he is the royal chef!! Sat afternoon, I had booked myself another pedicure and manicure which is opposite to where the bus sets me down. What could be easier, but no. Joyful decides that she needs to get her exhibition flyers to the art gallery before she goes away on hols. It's a mile from where she has to go for her appointment. Have to climb up some stone steps to the art gallary. fatal. come down again, no I didn't fall. My hip locked didn't it. The pain  No one comes to help me. I manage to move myself to a seat. I sit down just. It was cold too because I was out of the sunshine and the wind was cold. Anyway, after a few minutes, I get up again and somehow my hip seems ok. I start to walk but the pain down the front of my thighs is so bad I can hardly put one foot in front of the other, but somehow I get going. My knee cap goes next. Don't know how I managed it but, almost an hour later I got to the other end of town and get into the salon and finally sit down. All the way there I was in so much pain, I was almost crying, gritting my teeth. Not one person came to helped me. All I got was strange looks. I was having to stop every 2 or 3 steps and sit if I could. Every time I got to some seats, there were youngsters fooling around and no room for my to recover. When I got to the salon, sat down and rang Jim to come a meet me to take me home. So yes folks, in our heads we want to go for that long walk especially when we are trying to keep up with our children and grand children, but really our condition cannot be taken lightly.

I think it's time for a scooter, but really, I just don't want to. The idea of trying to walk to strengthen my muscles is adamant in my mind. Never known both hips to hurt like that, my left one yes but not both together. When I go to the Pain Clinic on the 1st September I will tell them all this and see what they think. In the meantime I have my Rheumy appt on Thursday. I certainly hope they make arrangements for me to have hip xrays to see what is happening. Surely it can't be just Bursitis.
