Does anyone know how you go about getting a stairlift? I can hardly get up the stairs anymore!!

    If you contact your local County Council and ask to be put through to the OT Dept, they can set up an assessment for you, that is if you want to get a grant towards one or get the Council to put one in. May take a long time. The waiting list in our area is nearly 2 years after you have an assessment. I could take about 6 months to get an assessment also.
    I use to work for Care Management and things hve changed a lot here. But I would suggest you ring your local County Council and ask them to put you through to the relevant department in your area.

    Blimey tha's a long wait!!! :shock:
    If you have the money I suppose you could contact a company like sta***h and get it done yourself?
