hi all, well ive had them.got to hospital at 8.15.had my assessment then sat waited til 10.30.Then the dreaded moment came.i was suprised as i wasnt nervous just wanted them done.
1st jab was in the base of my thumb, just the cortizone.Big scratch, not to bad.2nd into the knee this 1 included anesetic, that hurt a bit more than the thumb but no were near as bad as i'd thought.
then got tea & toast, then later tea & biscuits.i was the last to be discharged as i'd had the 2 joint injections,so was on my own from 12 til 1.30.im in quite a bit of pain my knee worse than but thumb.
but rymy said that should wear off in 12 hrs,so im to rest 2days & not supposed to use stairs(loo's upstairs)im not sitting up there on my own so im using my crutches around the house & going up & down stairs on my bum.hope thats ok to do.
so im on the sofa with stepsons laptop, behaving myself & resting.
so thanks for the replies on my last thread,& any1 going for jabs there really not that bad.just hope they work.debsx

Hi Debs
You brave girl! Make the most of the 2 day rest and I hope the jabs work for you. I am pleased to hear you were looked after with food and drink while you were there!
I don't think the jabs are too bad either. The ouch factor, if there is one, does not last long.
Be good!
Luv

Hi Debs,
Glad it went well. They take a bit of time but they usually help to some degree and the neck ones I had were incredibly good.
Take it easy and well done for having them done. x
Oh and a pat for Snowy x0 -

Hi Debs and Chrisov!!
Well done to both of you!!
What a pair of stars!!!
I hope that this week you both tell us that the jabs have really worked.
Your experiences have certainly reassureed me - if I ever have to have a jab!
Thanks and rest up!
Love

hi toni, the pains have eased off abit tonight.im now able to get up & down the stairs but only using my crutch.instead of going up & down on me bum.
i can now bend my knee with out as much pain.i did do roast dinner but i had to ask for help,as i had t use my left hand & my crutch.
but feel im getting somewhere with the pain easing.
after dinner i did have to go to bed & rest.this evening im still using my crutch but im hoping by tomorrow the pain will be alot more manageable.
ive got my cab appointment tomorrow too,but im goona carry on using my crutches til the pain eases off completely.
i feel 2 days rest is proberbly not enough for me,im due for the other knee & my neck next.
if any1 worried about the jabs at the moment i'd say go for them, rest as your told too.i'll post tomorrow.
hope christov is feeling some benefit, lets us know.please.debsx0
