Pain Clinics

I know some of you have attended a pain clinic. What do they do and does it help. Any info. would be appreciated.

    Hi Jane

    I will be interested in anyone that replyies with some info on a pain clinis as well as i start my pain clinic in August.
    A pain doc who passed me onto the pain clinic says it is more how we think about pain and less of the physical aspect.

    We will just have to wait and see i guess.

    Hi to you both,

    They ask a lot of questions, look at your notes and then (here) you fill in form of questions so they can get an idea how much pain is messing up your every day life and then they talk to you about how they can help.

    There are so many different treatments and they decide with you what one is best to try and then after you have had the treatment they see you again to see how much they helped you and so it goes on. Mine is on going but I don't know how much variation is out there. Hope thats some help. Cris
