I wonder if some of you have this problem. My hands and lower arms are just skin and bone. Also my legs look like knotted string.
I have also noticed that the palms of my hands are very flat - especially the mound of the thumb. Since having RA (11yrs) I have gradually gone down from 9.5 stone to 8. As I am getting on (72) this only makes one look older. Oh dear - what vanity.

    Hi there,
I know what you mean. I was never overweight but since having RA all my muscle tone has gone. My arms and upper body are really scrawney and I have recently gone from 8.3 to about 7 and half stone. I agree with you, not a good look. Maybe we could get a job as supermodels though?? Do you think we are a size zero??:wink:

    Hi Guys!
I am ok weight wise at the mo, but when I had my youngest I was so stressed I went down to 6st 11lb and looked AWFUL!! All saggy wrinkly skin! Size 6 not size 4 - so not quite a zero!
I expect coz we don't excersise enough we will have muscle loss?
    Take care
