hi am new on here and iv just been told iv got serve osteoarthritis in my jaw, and now am waiting for hospital apps but its so painfull and no pain killer is working, i was just wondering if anyone has got this in the jaw so we can chat etc

Hi,

Welcome to the forum. Sorry you are having problems with your jaw. It must be getting you down. I take it your GP has dianosed you? I would suggest going back and saying how unbearable it is, they might be able to get to an appoint at the hospital a bit quicker. My Dad suffers from this and was given a steriod injection in the jaw. Not pleasant but it certainly helped with the pain at the movement. While you are waitig have you tried any over the counter treatments like Feldene gel?
