    Hi
It is a good idea that you go to the doctor. I had bad knees for years and was told I had sciatica and that's how I left it for years. Eventually I couldn't endure the pain any longer after moving house and my new GP thought immediately that my symptoms were due to arthritis and quickly ensured I had x rays and blood tests done. It showed up advanced OA in joints. Don't leave it any longer.

    Good luck.

Hi, You'r doing the best thing, going to the docs. If you have arthritis, you will need pain releif and tests to find out what type of arthritis you have. Good luck! Love Sue

    Hi Sandy

When you are looking out for someone else,on a long term basis, it is often very easy to neglect one's own health although we shouldn't but that is just how it goes. Now is the time for you to see about your own problems. There is no point, suffering unduly, anymore. You need to be diagnosed and sorted. Tell your gp how it is for you in as much detail as possible because the more information he has from you, the easier it is for him to see the way forward in your case. Please do not under estimate your pain and discomfort to him. He needs to know as well as how it is affecting you, physically and mentally.

    I wish you well,

    Luv
    Elna xx

Hello, I'm glad you're having the tests and have started looking at your problems. I think to, we sometimes dismiss symptoms in ourselves, if they follow a similar pattern to those of a loved one, because we feel lightening does't strick twice ect. but just sometimes it does. Anyway, being checked is important if you'r having symptoms of anything. :) Hope all goes well for you. Love Sue

You poor thing! I jolly hate seeing a locum. Try and see your doctor on Thursday. Have they done any xrays?

It is not right that you should be in pain.

Hope you managed to get through work. If you don't feel well you must take time off sick. It only makes you feel worse trying to put on a brave face when you're felling rotten.

Take care and keep in touch.

Hello, glad somethings being done. I take Naproxen and when they put you on that they usually give you a tummy protector too.
You can take paracetemol alongside these to kick the pain into touch.
These work for me,having a bit of a flare at the moment but I am blamng the damp weather.
