Hello everyone.
I had the mri scan in june it showed that i had a disc pressing on a nerve with wear and tear.
well yesterday at the hospital i saw the orthopaedic doc and he said i have arthritis in my spine and my hips and he does'nt know why my legs are aching all the time he just said there is nothing i can do no opp as my hip is not bad enough.so he's making an app for me to see the physio and the pain clinic.
ifeel worn out as i've had the aching for more than 8 years.so no meds work so i'm not taking anything the docs say its because of the cerebral palsy but that would not cause athritis.
what happens at the pain c .
i try to eat healthy but its are birthday on sunday.
sorry to go on joan xx
take care

Hi Joan, its depressing when docs tell us different things and we feel we are not getting anywhere. Especially when we are left in pain. A few on here seem to have had really positive expereiences at the pain clinic. It can be a few weeks wait to get an appt though. I think the pain clinic look at things from a different angle, so hopefully they will be able to help you. Maybe you could ask your gp to speed up the referral?

    Take care

Hello, I'm sorry feel so bad at the moment. I have similar problems, and have been told that an op is not suitable at the moment. I have just had my first Pain Clinic appointment and was very impressed with them. The consultant wants me to see a spinal physio specialist, so I'm waiting for an appointment. He certainly explained things well. I hope that you have a similar experience, they have a really wide remit because they are interested in you and how you cope with the pain. I've also had my meds changed, same drug, but long acting to help me go through the night better.
I really hope all goes well, Love Sue
