Hello everyone!
Please vote now. If you look at the top of the front page of Living with Arthritis Forum page and the thread that says Sticky Vote for Arthritis Care! - open that up and the link is on the first post from the Webmanager.
It is so simple, just requires an email address, name and that you wish to vote for Arthritis Care. I notice a couple of people have voted but not put which charity!!
At the moment, out of the three charities to choose from, Mary's Meals are well ahead of Arthritis Care with their number of votes.
We can do better that this! There are loads of us visiting this site every day - this is something we can all do, sitting at our pc, to show our appreciation to AC for their dedication and hard work in helping us.
I have voted FOUR times with different email addresses that we have and also emailed some friends.
Hope all have a calm day,
Luv
Elna x

Bumping this thread up, we are way behind with our support for Arthritis Care. Mary's Meals will win, hands down, if peeps do not vote.

Hi Rita and Lynn
Thank you for voting and please feel free to bump this thread up to keep it at the top of the page so others see it.
Please anyone bump it up, to keep it floating and not get lost further down.
My daughter has just emailed me to say she is getting in touch with "the troops" so hopefully her friends will jump on the bandwagon and swell the votes for AC.
Love

Hi Lynn
Find the thread, scroll down and if you wish to reply or bump it up,
go to Reply Topic at the bottom corner of screen, type in your message and then press Submit, like I am going to do now. This brings it to the top of the threads on the Living with Arthritis Zone until someone else answers another thread and then that goes to the top.
It is exactly the same procedure you would do if you wish to reply someone's thread and you definitely know how to do that.

Hi Lynn
You made me laugh! I will have to leave you in charge of this important role, if no-one else helps us, as shortly I am going to have to get to the hospital to have two cortizone injections in my spine under xray direction. I am not nervous about it really as I have had them done in my neck on another occasion. No miracle cure but hopefully will help for a couple of months.
No worries if you have to leave your pc. I don't want you to be panicking about this thread not being permanently at the top. I think that would be quite impossible.
I hope you are ok today.
Speak later,
Luv

Hi I have just been on and voted and will post on facebook telling them to go and vote. Not nearly enough is done to stress the importance of the work for arthritis. I think we should all get a little more vocal and less stiff upper lip!! OK all together aaaarrrggh!0

Hi Kath
I saw Priya had voted Further down you will see Lola's name too.
I see some of my daughter's friends have come up trumps too. Hopefully be more from them tomorrow. I feel absolutely fine at the moment thank you and hope the injections have worked but it is only hours since they were done. I am especially pleased to call in and to see we are beginning to join forces here with this voting for AC.
Didn't you have an appointment too, today?
I will pm you later - may be tomorrow as I shall be taking it easy as I have been told to do so.

Hi Janie
Thank you for bumping up this thread. There seem to be a little flurry of votes for AC on the link as I have just had a look. Keep up the good work. We are doing our best and we cannot do anymore than that, can we?
Thank you, I feel fine so far so good, after my injections and no pain at the moment in the butt, leg, foot area. Time will tell.

Hi Tweedie
Thanks for keeping an eye on this thread and bumping it up. You are right, there are many children who have arthritis but jo public are not aware of this.
We are up against a strong contender with Marys Meals so we have to try that much harder in getting votes for us. All for an excellent cause so it makes me happy that we are pulling together on here now. Yep you are right, use all the email addresses you have, can get hold of, borrow or even steal.  Did I say that?

Hi Mrs Dalloway
Fantastic idea, posting on FB. I am with you all the way about not nearly enough is done to stress the importance of the work for arthritis. At least we can try our best with getting the most votes for AC and that will be a huge achievement and bonus for us all. This is something that we can all work together for in the comfort of our homes infront of the pc.

Thank you very much, Shelley and for passing the message on to friends and family. Just the ticket.
It is the least we can do, isn't it, for this very worthwhile charity?
People out there certainly need educating about this awful disease.
I hope your dad is going on ok,

Thanks Lynn and Janie
We have definitely had more than 50p's worth of sunshine over here. Someone was feeling extra generous, perhaps because it is the start of the weekend. Our weather is full of surprises isn't it? Never dreamt it would be even worthwhile pegging out the washing, let alone it drying beautifully!!
Lynn - you have definitely caught the bumpety, bump, bug - all good though
Battered and bruised? but worth it for such a good cause. 8)

It would appear that the voting has finished. It was only on for one week. Not long aye? In the article there was no mention of how long it was open for. I looked this morning to add a couple of votes and the relevant boxes had disappeared.
Unfortunately we have lost to Mary's Meals, a very worthwhile cause but it would have been brilliant if AC had won. They will receive £1,000 though - better than a kick in the teeth!!
Thank you for your dedication - it was quite fun, while it lasted, wasn't it?
Hope you all have a good weekend.

Thanks for letting us know Elna. So THAT's why I couldn't do it (thought it was my stupidity again). That's a bit off - only having a week.
What a shame people don't understand that this is not an just an affliction of the elderly! Whilst I feel that Mary's Meals is a good thing, it's a pity people can't support folk in their own country and realise that care of arthritis is just not understood but not supported in any way at all.
While I'm crowing on I'd just like to say that, having read through a lot of threads, I really feel ashamed at wingeing the way I do. I started to suffer with this as I retired, while some people here are coping with this AND babies and toddlers as well, AND working! I've been able to live a hectic, normal life - I'm ashamed for moaning.
God, I really don't know how you manage. What great people you must be .... I take my hat off to all of you.0
