what a difference a bit of sunshine makes. after a week of various limps, aches and pains, amazing how osteo clears up, though I can only speak or this particular arthritis.
yesterday was a mixed day of sorrows and joy. the vet phoned saying my tom cat whom I took in as a stray, and had great affection for , had feline aids virus, along with his hernia. there was only one option, to send him to the heaven where all ones pets go, . so, rather than stay indoors and face all the memories etc. i went out, for the second time.
I went for a walk along the coast at Tal y bont, near Bangor, wales, it s a lovley stretch of coast, all shingle, going from Bangor towards llanfairfechan in the distance. then a coffee at debenhams. all this to take my mind off the cat I have lost, I still have a small female left. she may have aids yet, which will be sad.

how strange though that when osteo seems at its worse, and is going downhill, a week later, there are hardly any signs if it .... yet.

I am mixing concrete now, putting posts in for the greenhouse to stop it moving in the storms of winter. the trouble may start later!!!!!!!!

I hope others are feeling better now the sun is out and summer is back. one great lesson is, in the depths of winter when the joints ache, and the cold penetrates , it seldom lasts, and the return of warm weather so far seems to reverse all this.
looking back with some history now, one cannot be anything but an optimist. I use the walking pole again which really does help, except in the town, maybe a trifle self conscious here, so, hoping everyone is enjoying the balmy weather now,

best wishes,

Nick

    Hi

Wales probably got the best of the sunshine. We've only had rain with the odd bit of sun thrown in. I know its up there but it doesn't appear to want to shine here!

I have OA in both knees and yes I have the odd good day but these day I'm finding walking more and more difficult. I tried to walk in the town centre on Monday but it exhausted me. I'm dragging my really bad leg along which then makes then puts pressure on the other affected leg. My husband wanted me to go to London with him on Saturday - he's got a few hours work - but I honestly don't think I'll manage to walk around until he finishes. He wanted us to book a show and have a meal out. I would have bitten his arm off to do this a couple of months ago. I went with him a few weeks ago and I enjoyed myself but was absolutely shattered afterwards. Too many tourists about!

    Regards
    Sharmaine

Sorry to hear about your tom cat. I didn't know that they could get feline aids!

Long may the good weather last I say :D
We are on our 2nd day of sunshine here after countless wks of rain.
Yesterday I woke up feeling optimistic. Like a big cloud had been lifted I felt so cheery. I thought it was either cos I now had a reason why i'd been feeling the way I had or the fact hubby was off work and had given me a free morning child fgree to go into town to visit cafe nero with a book for some quality me time.
Now it may be due to the sun. Shame I live in the northwest we rarely get sunshine  lol

So very sorry to hear about your cat. Pets are part of the family just like humans, and it's a sad day when they leave us for pastures new.
Hope she's up there now running around with the other kitties doing her favourite thing.

I am so sorry to hear about your cat, I hope the other cat tests are negative.

Can someone please send some warm weather and sunshine up to Scotland? We haven't had a great summer.
