Memory Foam Mattress/Pillows

Hi We have a memory foam mattress and pillows and having used them for a number of years, I am now wondering whether they are giving me more pain in the top half of my back, as well as a pain in the neck!
We have just been away for a long weekend where we slept on a hotel bed, and I must say, I wasn't as uncomfortable in the mornings as I have been on the two mornings since we have been home!
I don't know whether to blame the bed, or was it perhaps the fact that we were away that I felt better.
Has anyone had problems with these mattresses/pillows?
Have a good day.
Andrea

Hi
I've had a memory foam mattress topper for a week and find it quite comfortable. There was a post about this a while back. Someone mentioned that they couldn't get on with the pillows so I decided not to buy any.

Oh dear I was only speaking to my mum this morning saying that I need to get one as it may be more comfortable.

hi,i find the mattress topper so comfy but couldnt sleep with the memory pillows.so now i have got the pillows(normal 1s)1 harder pillow on the bottom then softer thinner 1 on top.now my shoulders/neck(as i lay on my side)are level with the pillows.
its helped a little with the neck pain & stiffness.
maybe worth experimenting with different pillows,to get the right ballance.
hope thats some help. debsx0 -
I have both the mattress topper and the pillow. I find it very comfortable. I know a phyiso once told me that a pillow should be the width and a half of the length of your shoulder, so maybe its just that mine fits me but not everyone! Love Sue0
