Hello everyone - just back from my monthly rheumi appt and I have agreed to change my 25mg methotrexate tablets to injections since I have to up my dose - I seem to be tolerating the 10 tablets a week (with the help of anti sickness tabs) but it doesn't seem to be making any great progress with the swelling and tenderness of the joints. My rheumi nurse is arranging for me to get some training in injecting myself and then its full steam ahead - not sure what to expect though but I can see me reading all the old posts on 'mthx injections'.
Hope 'arthur' is being kind to you all
love and hugs
Eileen

:P Hello Eileen, I have been giving myself injections of Meth now for about 7 weeks after being on the tablets for years !! all of a sudden I started to feel awful so they changed it to the injections and I can say it is much better and no trouble at all to do. Good Luck

Hi Eileen, I have been using MXT injections for about 3 /4 years, I do feel better using the injections, the tablets made me feel really ill, I do feel a bit nauseous but easy to cope with, the injections are easy to use, you just have to get used to sticking a needle in yourself, you will be ok love Jasercatxx
