No Mobility element in DLA

Had a shock waiting for me when I got home.
They have decided that I am not elegible for the mobility part of dla
Can't believe it because I am worse this last year than I have been previously.
They really are pulling in the purse strings. Even the care element is lower. I got £18. a week before, now I am only going to get £16.
I shall go to Welfare Rights and get them to appeal for me. Also get my GP to write a report for me to send. They are not being very fare because I am suffering more now than I was before.

Hi Joy
Keep fighting and I really hope you get it, this system stinks those who know how to fiddle the system do very well, those who need it and are honest seem to lose.
Fingers crossed

hi,sounds like something is wrong the LRC is a set amount & should be £18 something a wk.it went up in april, i'd look into that if i were you.
it looks like because the gov.is trying to do away with the disability allowance every1 is being turned down 1st time(i did)then getting the lower awards.12 months at a time.
i know some 1 that gets high rate mobility for crohns,& works. the reason they get it is because they need to get to the loo quick, blue badge too.then some 1 else that gets same rate as me for a bad thumb.arghhh.
ive got all my joints affected, swelling & cronic pain.i only get up to avoid the stiffness.
ive put in my renewal(due in nov)although my condition has deteriated rapidly in the past 18 months i doubt that will make any difference to them.
good luck to all with your claims,debsx0 -
ooh this annoys me!! as previously said the ones who are least in need always seem to get it. I think what they rely on is that by the time we have got to the point where we ask for help we are usually that ground down with the constant pain, hospital visits, prodding and jabbing that when they turn us down we are less likely to fight it because we have no energy left!!! As previously said please don't take this decision and appeal it you can get help filling in the forms and perhaps it is the wording that you used. When I used to fill in mine I was that busy denying everything that was wrong that I probably came across as fit and healthy! A tip though the process of having help from the Carer Centre although helpful was depressing as hell as they express everything in the forms that you are no longer able to do by the time I come out I was extremely tired and down. Sorry for the long rant and good luck! x0

A few years back I got turned down completely so my consultant gave me a letter stating that I had advanced deteriation of the hip joints. They listened to her.
On my appeal everything was reinstated.
Good luck

Hi,
I'm so sorry, it leave me speechless.........
You must APPEAL and I wish you all the luck in the world,
I've just been reading about the fees celebs get for hoasting Government events, thousands of pounds, yet REAL people, who are ill and need help can just go to shove off. Sorry.

Hi, you certainly must appeal through the Cab, don't stop fighting for what you deserve, lots of luck love Jaspercatxx0
