I'll start, shall I?! Today, in my fridge at home, there are the following things:
- 8 pints of whole milk and 4 pints of semi skimmed milk (hubby and little one will only drink whole milk and Indian tea uses a lot more milk than English)
- 4 Petit Filous yoghurts (little one)
- snack size chocolate bars (lots of - little one again)
- Tomatoes, cucumber
- Butter
- Beer (hubby is teetotal but he likes to keep some cold for guests popping in)
- Natural yoghurt (goes well with curries as well as berries/ cereal)
- Mayonnaise
- Garlic bread
- Sunflower spread
What about everyone else?

Nowt! As I have just returned from hols.
Now you should see our extra large chest freezer. I'm frightened to open the lid in case everything shoots out. Its due for a defrost soon so I must get eating. Just to help out you understand. Frozen oven chips, sausages, bread, beans, peas or ice cream? Choices, choices!

I keep skimmed milk in the fridge cos I don't like warm milk on my cereal.I buy a dozen cartons at a time and some go in the cupboard but I always have at least 4 in the salad comp. of the fridge.

rehab44 wrote:Why do people keep semi skimmed milk in the fridge, do they do that in supermarkets?
Yes, rehab, FRESH semi-skimmed is kept in the fridge - are you getting it confused with those cartons of LONG-LIFE milk which you can just keep in the cupboard?
Oh Lindalegs!
Your contents got me drooling  I thought 'gosh, Linda's list is like one of those celebrities you read about......... until I read on!
My own fridge is the usual, bacon, eggs, cheese, milk, fruit juice, butter, low fat spread, salad stuff, various opened bottles/jars and OH's insulin.

Hi Nina
I just looked and there's hardly a thing in the fridge at the moment because I'm just sitting here trying to find the energy to go to Tesco. I've just trawled round Ikea this morning, so my legs are a bit tired, but there won't be much for tea if I don't go food shopping. One potato, two eggs, some milk and butter won't go far. On the other hand, we could have half an omlette and two chips each :!:

Enjoy yourself - take the afternoon off (tell your OH you have my permission) and send him to the chippy later :-)

Rehab
I keep eggs in the fridge because there are nice little places to stand them up inside the door :-) Never given a thought to it otherwise!

My eggs are in the fridge to prevent them from hatching  not really - I have so many gadgets and gismos cluttering the worktops that are 'at hand' that they're out of the way in the fridge

Hi Nina
My OH had disappeared to play golf as his reward for going round Ikea. After spending a fortune in Tesco, my fridge is now fully stocked again, too many things to list, but it's amazing how much food two people can get through. Too much, really :!:
