Hello everyone! Well Im back at home and feel brill
thats despite all my crutches, grabbers, bath boards, raised toilet seats and bag of meds! I have a confession, my op was delayed until Thursday, but i was too stressed out to post on the forum so i crossed my fingers and hoped for the best. The staff at the hospital were so good, I was soooo nervous, but they soon put me at ease. I opted for an epidural, It felt like I had a nice sleep, and when I woke up it was all done. The surgeon came and told me everything had gone well and he was pleased, I felt like Id won the lottery, after all the years of pain, stress, etc. I was on the ward with all the youngsters, 61 and 62
the wards were quiet as alot of the consultants were on annual leave, so I was lucky. The food was bad though  Im hoping to have lost a stone
I was discharged yesterday feeling very tired, but felt I just had post you all my news, so to all of you out there awaiting TKR, THR, if I can do it , anyone can, as Im the biggest scaredy cat there is, so go for it and get your life back PAINFREE!
Well off for my shower, dont know how long that will take
will be back soon jk

I'm glad you're better after your op and everything's going well for you.
When I was in hospital a few years ago, the food was OK but I missed a proper cup of tea made with real tea bags and not the cheap stuff!

Glad it went well.Told you it would.
I too was terrified before hand.wanted to pack my bags and run away but decided that once in my life I had to be brave and now I am so glad I did.
Best wishes

Take things at your own pace, don`t be tempted to `try` things too soon. It will all come together when your bosy is ready.

Oh, silly me. I'm still educating myself with all these terms. I'll find out this afternoon if I have to have a TSR (if that's what they call a shoulder replacement) lol0 -
