HELLO I don't have AS, but I do have oa in the bottom of my lumber spine and hips. I sometimes get sharp pains and I think its caused by a nerve pinching. Maybe, when you got angry you tensed a bit and moved quickly and caused a spasm of some sort.
I'm glad you've come to this site, as I'm sure someone who is much more useful than me will be along to offer an opinion soon. Their are lots of helpful people on this site! So, WELCOME. SUE0 -
Hi Andy
Welcome to the forum. I am sorry to hear your story. I believe that AS is extremely painful as you say and may not be helped by become very tense. Will you be seeing a medic soon again so you can mention to them these pains you are getting in certain scenarios?
You could get in touch with the helpline team. They may be able to help you and send you some information on AS. There have been threads on AS in the past on the LWA forum. You could try to do a search if you would like to read them.
Have you been given any meds for the pain? Sorry I cannot be more helpful, but I definitely sympathise.
Best wishes,

Hi
I am being treated for AS at the moment although I sero negative.
I know exactly the pan you are decribing. I get my often on days when I am feeling generally quite good then I'll turn or bend at a certain angle and the pain is unbearable.
My pain is under control at the moment with celebrx and steroids which are making my life a heck of a lot easier and the pains seem to have subsided. There is a point on the left sie of my hip which is the worse and sometimes just touching it can cause problems, think from what the GP said this is a bursa caused by the arthritis.0 -
