    Hi Debbie

I'm sorry to hear you're in so much pain. Have the painkillers worked yet or made any difference?

If you want my advice (and you're going to get it anyway!) I would put the voluntary work on hold until you're feeling better. You need to take it easy if you're unwell and you could make yourself worse by pushing yourself too hard.

I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks for the support and comments :D:D:D:D I am not doing anything on the voluntary work until after my op and I have recovered. So will wait and see. The pain killers have started to help thanks

Hi Deb, I,m a Deb too,
dont give up on your plan for your volli work , just agree with yourself to put it on hold for the while.
like you to day I,m having a crappy day, under alot of stress at the min which is taking longer than I hoped to sort out. Auther always take the oppurtunity to get a grip when things go wrong for me.
so i,m sitting on the settee wondering what next.
my elbows are hurting my big toe is hurting and I,m tearfull.
but hey my dog has bought me his lead and is wagging his tail and asking to go out so I think as its a pleasant ater noon I go out with him
keep yer chin up hun, check in a gain if you don't feel abit better soon.

Hi, I hope the painkillers have kicked in a bit now. Pain is so draining and when its bad, I know I find it hard to imagine that its ever going to be different, but it does ease off and the good days come along. You must also be a bit uptight about surgery, so that can't help at the moment.

As for the Vol work, thats great, and thats what I intend to do. At the moment, I'm in a similar situation. I have had my left wrist/hand carpel tunnel released, but then fell on it, just as it was getting much better. X-rays showed no break, but a lot of the good things the op gave me, like pain relief, seem to have reversed! :( . I am going to see the hand clinic and see if the other hand, which is painful, needs doing, next week. Once all that is sorted, I'll give my mind to doing something. You sound as if your situation is similar, and I know its not easy to wait and see, but personally, for me, thats what I shall do. After the op, you may find that your whole view on things changes and you have more 'get up and go' as Mum used to say. Anyway, I've gone on too much, so good luck.
    Love Sue
