10 days post THR So Far So Good!

Hi all, thanks for all your replies, its good to know so many are interested in my progress :wink: Happily its all good so far, just a bit of an aching in my thigh in a morning till i have my meds, and I get a bit tired, so have to have a rest in the afternoon, but its remarkable how quickly I seem to be recovering. had to go to the health centre to have my dressing changed by the nurse, it felt good to walk on concrete and not carpet for a change! Everythings healing nicely, so touch wood, its all good. Hope your all having a good day jk :wink:

    Hi, I'm glad everything is going in the right direction for you. It must be a bit of a pain, having to have new dressings each day, but at least its for your good and you can keep an eye on the wound, to make sure everythings going well.

    Well done - sounds like you are doibng really well! So long as you take it steady you'll soon be as good as new.
    All is well with me thanks - just back from a fortnight in Devon, so up to my neck in washing as you'd expect! But other than that all is well

    I am glad for you and I do tend to watch the hip posts...... Sooner or later i have to have them so keep recovering well and I like the idea of quick :wink: . You go steady though and take care, Cris

    Good news JK - I found my legs ached after my TKRs and I looked forward to my painkillers - but I'm sure you'll soon be over that bit - I will add though that the ache was nothing compared to the awful pain before op.

    Great news, so glad you are doing well. I'm 10 weeks+ post op and have just finished decorating the living room. I've taken my time and only done as much as my body has allowed, it's taken 2 weeks to do, I would never have believed this would be possible a few months ago.

    Glad to hear your doing so well after your op. It's still early days though so don't go overdoing things, and rest up when you feel the need.
