I have had really puffy feet for well over 5 years now, putting on a shoe has been a nightmare, I am always in slip on sandals, scholl type shoes, everytime I asked GP he said it was my arthritis and the weather, anyway last rheumatologist appointment he was concerned I had heart failure, after loads of tests, my heart seems fine but I had water on the lungs. My rheumatologist told my GP to give me some water tablets, so he did Co-Amilofuse, anyway I was also on reductil to help me shed weight, after the first fortnight I lost 5lbs :D then the next fortnight and watching what I ate, I gained 5lbs, :( I knew something was not right so saw GP again, he decided to take me off Co-Amilofruse and put me Furosemide and Spironolactone tablets, he said one was a water tablet and the other was to make my heart not work as hard, he told me to keep on the reductil, today I got weighed and have lost 11lbs in two weeks :lol: , I can see the joints in my toes and my ankles are tiny, I have not seen them this thin in years, I feel great. Makes you wonder how many more of us Arthur sufferers are putting up with puffy ankles when there are meds out there to help.
Heres hoping for another 11lbs in another 4 week, don't want to push my luck!!

The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.
