hip update!

well... had my appointment with the orthopedics. He thinks my deformed hip happened in my teenage years. Boy did he hurt when he twisted and turned my leg!

He told me that i would need a new hip in 5 - 10 years time but at the moment it wasnt bad enough! so good to hear NOT! so i have to be practically crawling!!!

Managed to presuade him that i wanted a steroid injection, so have to wait for that then!!! Still hopefully it will help and i wont have to wait too long, am off to the gp tomorrow to see if i can get any better painkillers!

am going camp on saturday with 12 scouts!! no rest for the wicked but at 28 i dont want to stop even if it means pain, so ive dragged out my wet suit and am off for a paddle!! LOL

Hope you don't have to wait too long before you get the injections, I'm sure you will feel a difference.

I don't know what to say Gemma, I hope the steroid injection helps. If you feel you need a second opinion though, go for it.

just seen GP and he has given me tramadol to try! will wait till im away and not driving!!

Think i will see how bad it gets when i get back to work (been off for the summer as i teach) then work out where to go from there.

Thanks guy, i know this isnt strictly RA but it seems like just another thing! I want to go back to when my life was less problematic!
