Hi just thought I would let you know I have had my kidney scan results back at long last after me ringing the hospital they faxed them through to my doctors, about time
my left kidney is not functioning properly it's shrunk also has a cyst I have had a blood test taken, & my doctor has taken me of my celebrex because she doesn't want to damage my good kidney she's put me on strong pain killers called oxynorm because I have had a bad reaction to my buprenorphine patches, so fingers crossed, I'm just trying to get over yet another water infection second one in a month :(
I hope you are all keeping well
love to all Sue

Thank you Toni & Elna I've been very low lately god knows how my family have put up with me :( I'm just so glad I am on holiday to get myself better for work i must admit I am a bit frightened about going back still not feeling well in myself.
I seem to be tried all the time not sleeping very well & I don't have much of an appetite I think I have drunk a river dry this last few days :)
Plus my main concern is Laura my daughter she's not too good, she's had blood tests done because she is loosing a lot of weight & keeps feeling like she's going to pass out.
Her results have come back glucose high so they gave her another blood test a fasting one that came back OK so she needs to have another one done if that comes back high they need to do more tests at the hospital  I think we all want putting in a big bag & shaking up don't we :)
I hope you both have a lovely day take care sue xx

    Hi Sue
Gosh! What an awful time for you all.
I do hope your daughter is ok - are they checking for diabetes?
Poor you....I hope you are eating a little as that doesn't help does it.
I also hope you are not back at work for a while (think about a sick-note??) until you feel a good bit better.
Will cross everything for you all!

You poor love and Laura. It doesn't just rain, but pours, aye?

I wish I could say something reassuring but words fail me. You all have such a lot to contend with and have done for some time now.

You are not only worried about yourself but your daughter too and the knock on effect this is having on the whole family.

I am thinking of you and really wish I could do more. I so feel for you all.

    Love
    Elna xx

    Hi Sue,

I am sorry its all happening to you just now. I really hope things get easier and that Laura's tests come back ok.

Easy to say but try and eat as you are fighting an infection and also I don't know as you do the relaxation thing but I find it does help with stress and pain.

A gentle (((( )))) and I really hope your soon ok again. Luv Cris x

    Hi Sue,

I'm glad you've let us know what's been happening even though it's not too good news. To look on the positives at least you have your results back and they're changing your meds and I hope you get over water infection soon because I think you've had your fair share now.

You could also be feeling tired and out of sorts with worry over Laura - we always worry more about our children even though we put up with all sorts ourselves - it's part of being a parent isn't it :?

I hope they get her sorted very soon and get to the bottom of things and then you only have to worry about you

Don't forget we're always here for you when you need us.

    Luv Legs :)

So sorry to hear what a difficult time you're having. On a positive note at least now they have more of an idea what's going on with you. I do wish you all the very best and hope they get to the bottom of things both for you and your Daughter.
The Oxynorm will make you both tired and thirsty but this should settle down to some extent. It's a very effective but very strong painkiller as you know. You may also need something to keep you regular while you're taking it. Very very best of luck.

    Hi Sue
Gosh, you must be feeling really poorly at the moment and the worry about your daughter doesn't help. I can really sympathise with you on this one.
I do hope the results of the test come through soon and you know where you are going.
You need plenty of rest, plenty of fluids etc etc
Hope the hosp, gp can sort you out soon.

    love,

Thankyou all so much for your kind words these tablets are quite strong taken the first one today.
doctor did advise me to take something because they stop you going to the toilet & I don't need anything to stop me, I've always had problems in that department

I hope you are all keeping well & not in to much pain I know you are all behaving yourselves

    HI Sue,

glad you are b eing well looked-after, but sorry that you need more careful attention than you might want!

It always seems to be the case that nothing comes singly - there is usually something else thrown into the mix to make us wonder what we have done to deserve all this worry :?

Keep smiling (you sound/read smiley even if you dont' feel it as you type!) & hope you get better news soon for you both.
    loads of hugs,

    Hi Sue
Don't know why I've only just caught up with this thread  That explains a lot but wish it was better news, is it a case of wait and see what happens next or will it have to be an op? Sorry it's come to this but keep us up to date.

    Hi Sue
Just to say Im sorry that things are so difficult for you right now. I hope they sort your daughter out soon because I know how worrying it is when anything is wrong with your children. Your body is certainly giving you grief too! I do hope that you start to feel better soon too.

Oh Sue .... that is the way things go isn't it?! We utter these immortal words only for life to come crashing around us!

It is almost as if they hear us saying the words and think ... I'll show them !

Hope it isn't too expensive to relace / mend the flooring.

Littlelegs is fine thanks, (she always is in the kitchen when we are out, and thankfully has not done anything drastic whilst we were out lately)I am getting there, and hubby is still working out how he is after having tackled cleaning the bathroom for the first time in years   (him doing the cleaning I mean - the bathroom must have been cleaned at least once or twoce this year - honest!:lol::lol: ) I am soon to cdouble the leflunomide and am hoping that it will start to kick in soon.

Be kind to yourself until your meds get back to full strength again. I know how tempting it is to miss doses, but we always have to pay, unfortunately.

    taek care
