Jaw arthritis

Anyone expereinced this? I've been having roaring headaches which included the top half of my face. Mentioned this at the hospital on Monday and it transpires that it's probably arthritis of the jaw. It's a bit of a killer!
Anyone on Dihydrocodeine? I have them for when the pain is bad, (most of the time actually), but I tend not to take them since I've heard they're addictive.

Yes, this morning.
In my bad reaction to MTX I mentioned that everything was hurting.
That includes the right side of my jaw this time. Sometimes it is the other side. Went to the dentist the last time it was bad, thinking it might have been an absess problem I had 2 years ago, but when he looked at it, nothing there. So yes, it has reached my jaw and my ears also.
hope it goes off maybe a soluable paracetomal may help. I did that it it does help.

Hello,
Me too! I've been told it's OA or Osteoarthrosis but I think there kinda the same. It's horrendous. I won't go into all the areas where I get pain cos you'll get bored I take co-dydramol for the pain. Anything I can help you with, please feel free to ask.

HI I have taken Dihydracodine when I was in hospital, they didn't seem any different from other pain killers to me, but, they are supposed to be very strong and effective, I was told they'd make me sleepy, but didn't notice, but I had been quite ill I was post op.& just off a morphine pump, to be fair.

Thanks for your replies and support. I've had Psoriatic Arthritis for many years now, but didn't even consider the jaw as the next contender as the best new newcomer to the arthritis scene 2009.
Like some of you, I have dreadful headaches, which go down into my face, ears and neck - quite horrible they are. Dihydrocodeine helps better than the usual take-a-day codydramol and voltarol. I try not to take dihydrocodeine as they tell me it's addictive, but when you've got pain as bad as arthritis what do you do?
Good wishes to all.0
