Bad MTX reaction

I don't know why it happened this time, but had a very bad reaction on Wednesday morning and had to go back to bed. Usually try and do the injection Tues afternoon and then by the time I go to bed I am asleep and don't normally feel too bad next morning. This Tues though, I was late doing the injection because we were out seeing DIL
I felt sick quite badly, very bad headache and just so tired. I had also taken my morning cocktail of tablets so it was a bit of everything I think I slept until 4 30 in the afternoon. Must have needed it.
I am getting worse pains behind my knees, gp said it was the RA. Everything has been hurting very badly this week and walking has been worse.
Early night tonight is called for I think

HI Joyful,
so sorry to hear that you are having a tough week.
Your post really resonated with me - when I have had a busy & tiring week I find that the MTX does hit me harder.
I get my MTX injection on Wednsdays, and find that Fridays can be days that I find I am very tired and more sickly. This week I have been very busy and am tired and my joints are sore too - the MTX had a bigger effect than usual. I am more tired than I would have been last week - prehaps this is what is happening to you?
Take things steady & always remember that you can only do so much before your energy supply runs out. listen to your body and leave what you can until another day. Sleep is fine if that is what your body needs - take it from one who has had an afternoon nap every day for 6 days!!
Sometimes fighting it does us more harm than good - it is not alwyas bad to 'give in' for a while.
hope you feel better soon.

Hello, Sorry you felt so bad yesterday, but hope that today is a better day. It does make life so hard plan when you don't know how you'll feel from day to day. Try and have a nice peaceful week-end, that should help a bit. Love Sue0

Hi toni
Not too bad. I think I am stressed over this wedding. Goodness knows why. I shall be glad when it is all over.
Felt bad again late morn same as before. Tried to sleep but couldn't
Had phone call from daughter last night which i missed, so spent early part of morn trying to get hold of her. My OH and I made a list of what the possible reasons were for her call, bearing in mind that she is a very hard person to get hold, and never rings you unless she wants something. Turned out it was ringing for directions to the church etc.
Shall try and get early night tonight. Got to get OH to do my toe nails tonight. Perhaps that is why I am worried.

Hi I thought I was feeling better on the injections until a couple of weeks ago and now like you I just sleep and feel awful I dont feel sick anymore though like I did when taking the tablets just totally wrecked, I hate it. Also my joints have been hurting more too, so looks like we are all in the same awful boat. Hope your wedding goes well.
