I think tearful mornings are pretty usual unfortunately.
Lovely that your son has cheered you up with a song - that's so nice

HI Karina
I cried and cried and cried when I first got it too You WILL have days like this - you are entitled to!
All of the emotions are running haywire and it takes a while for it to settle down.
Getting on the right meds and them starting to work is part of the process. When that is sorted you WILL feel a bit better.
In the meantime you should be kind to yourself and not worry too much if you feel down, hopeless, frightened, terrified or anything - you are having a life-changing time.
One thing you don't need to feel is alone - with us lot around to support you.
Any time you feel down just log-on and we'll be here.
You takle care and be gentle

Hi Karina,
Just wanted to say hello and wish you well. I was diagnosed with RA in April and I felt just as you are feeling now - my mind is at least 50 years younger than my body felt at the time! I was in tears too, but that was 4 months ago and since being diagnosed and going on meds (reluctantly!) I feel much more like my normal self these days. It takes a bit of time but it does get better, it realy does. Still get down days every so often but more up days than down ones with the ratio increasing week by week. A good cry can help sometimes and you are entitled to it - I know I felt better after a few tears!
Good luck with the meds, chin up and try and stay optimistic for the future!
Best,
Kat0 -

Hi Karina
You will get bad, weepy days and you most certainly are allowed them - we all get them. You know you will "bounce" back tomorrow or the day after, just let the tears fall. Things will get better and today you may not be able to believe that, but so many of us say that, it must be and it is true. We are honest on here - there would be no point in being otherwise, that is what is so great with this site.
I know on your bad days it will be more difficult for you with your son, but as you say, he cheered you up today by singing you a song. That is so sweet, children sense when their mum is not well.
I hope you post tomorrow saying you are feeling much better.
Luv

Hi Karina
I was miserable when I woke up this morning (not taking my meds). I'm 53 and feel like 100.
Your little boy sounds wonderful.
I've decided to doll myself up before my hubby gets in. Nothing like a bit of slap and freshly washed hair!
Have a good weekend and I hope you feel better soon.
