I hope you all coping well to day and her meds have kicked in.
I,m going on a train today for the first time, I have booked a reseved seat at a table, I'm taking my Dog with me (he has the Name tag) haha in case I get lost.
I have arranged help on and off the train both ends
the staff at Durham were jolly and helpfull. so hopefully the same at the other end.
Oh I'm going to stay with my adopted daughter in Peterbourgh shes just finished uni and has a new job as a vet, prehaps she'll give me the once over.
I purchased a disabled rail card for £18.00 and saved a 1/3 on my tickets so got saved more than £18.00 straight away. I also got with it a 20% discount card for food outlets in stations.
so I,m going to try this today and I'll let you all know how I get on. coming back Sunday.
keep yer chins up. and dont let Arther get you down
lol

I travelled from Manchester to Oxford recently, and booked assistance at both ends. I went into Manchester on the little local train from my home station. On arrival, I was met by a lovely friendly man with a buggy to take me right up to the train. I was so glad of this, as it was a helluva walk, although I felt a bit daft, sitting there like the Queen! No buggy at Oxford, but equally helpful staff who took my luggage right outside, and saw me into a cab. I will be using this service in future, rather than facing the stress of driving.
With the money I saved by having a railcard, I travelled first class, so all in all, a great journey......Enjoy yours Debbie.....Ange.0 -
