Feeling a bit fed up

Help please. I am having a bad time at the moment and feel pretty fed up. I saw the Rhuematologist recently. She told me I now have Fybromyalgia as well as generalised OA. She said the only problem was that because I have glaucoma, I cannot take the medication for Fybromyalgia. She is going to check with the hospital Opthalmology Department to see whether I can take steroids instead! She is also arranging an appointment for me to have a full body scan because my arthritis is flaring up all over the place. Apparently, I shall have dye injected into me and then all of my bones will be scanned. At least I will know which bits definitely have OA. Has anyone else had one of these? I can't seem to do any of my hobbies as everything hurts, but I do seem to manage washing, ironing etc! Oh I am getting grumpy, sorry. It helps to know that there are people on this forum who understand just how miserable arthritis can make you feel.
Hope you all have a pain free weekend and some laughter.
Best wishes.

Hello Andrea,
I had tearful start to but by reading your posts and realising other people are in the same boat as ourselves and care that alone makes you feel better.

Hope you feel better soon Karina x0 -
Hi Andrea, I had a full body scan a couple of years ago, I had to go the x-ray dept in the morning to have an injection of gye, then again in the afternoon to have the scan, you just have to lie flat and wait, it takes a bit of time, no problem really love Jaspercatxx0

Hi Andrea
I am sorry to hear that you are feeling down at the moment. It is funny isn't it how we can do the ironing and things like that but not the "nice" things we love to do!
Have you thought any more about getting a dog? I remember you posted at the beginning of August asking about it.
I have not had a body scan so cannot help you on that one. I do hope you begin to feel a little better soon, both mentally and physically. Keep calling in on here and we will all try to keep you buoyant. Try not to lose your sense of humour because that definitely does help, doesn't it?
Luv

Thank you so much for all of your kindness, and your ideas. It makes me feel better just reading them. I think I am going to have a 'make a fuss of me' weekend (leisurely warm baths etc) and see if that helps.
Elnafinn, I am thinking about my little dog all of the time, but I have decided to wait until I get this spell over with and get the results of my scan and blood tests. Hopefully, I can then be told just how bad the OA has become. Rhuemy said it was unusual for someone my age to have so much 'wear and tear' in so many places. Haven't received the appointment date yet. Got to keep smiling - at least my face looks brighter then!!
Thank you to you all.
Best wishes.
