Hey all,

I have a really good book that helps with filling out the ESA E50 forms. It suggests that you use this publication but it costs £7 or £2 if you're on benefit. My sister found the full book online though!

http://www.nwdial.org.uk/training files/esa_physical_lcw.pdf

On the same website you can do your own ESA self assessment to see how you'd score.

Sorry if you all know all this but I have found this guide really helpful so far.

    Hey Lindah,

Errr yeah we're all ok thanks. We are just swamped with all this benefit stuff at the moment really. Trying to get him standing on his own two feet (pardon the pun). Its hard, really hard sometimes. I can feel myself losing patience and I know it isnt his fault. I mean he is being his fair share of stubborn with stuff that is supposedly between him and his so-called wife.

I want him to talk to her, they still have assets in Spain that are up for sale, things that could quite easily give him some cash if he fought for it. He sees it as having faith in her that she wont shaft him, but all I see is the woman who left him with all his belongings in a hospital with nowhere to go. Forgive me for being cynical that she's not gonna take the money and run.

I'm half annoyed because im his daughter and he NEEDS to have whats rightfully his and half annoyed from the person who is supporting him thinking if he had this money I wouldn't have to worry about a deposit or a bond for a house or when it comes to setting him up for a month or so while he gets work.

Sorry for the rant when you just asked how I am haha.

How are you? Hope you're having as painfree-er day as you possibly can :)

Thanks for the infomaion - I have just been looking through it. The information they ask for and how they probe you sounds as if they really think you'r making everything up. Why should I have been retired from the council on ill health grounds and my pension released, as the doctor in occy health stated that I am unfit for any work. Do they think these peole lie? Sorry, I'm goint off on a rant, so I'll stop here. :? Love Sue

Hehe rant away, I did. :)

What annoys me is that they dont even stand by their word, they say when your at this stage and are filling in this form you should be getting about £65 a week whilst they check. We aren't.

They really are out to get you, did you see the bit about how doctors will quite often watch the patient walk away from the appointment/surgery just to check!! I mean we all know theres benefit fraudsters out there but god knows how...and they must really REALLY want it to go through all of this hassle. Too much time on their hands obviously.

Hope everyones claiming goes well, god only knows we're only trying to get what we're entitled to.

    Heya

Glad it can help. It is worth saving the link or whatever cos I found it REALLY difficult to find details of buying the book (where & things) and also to find the whole book online..... well I passed it over to my sister and she found it in the end cos I was fed up of looking.

Hope you are all having a pain-free day.

Well, we have just finished filling in this bible of a form. I hope anyone who is doing it has the will to finish it. We are just re-checking answers and writing it out neatly now then hopefully sending it this week.

It really is a nightmare and my lovely sister decided to take over and fill it in with Dad as I have been having a few anger issues due to work and sleep and everything else so I am so appreciative of her and dad working together. I think I would've absolutely snapped if id have been doing it, she has an excuse to get moody as she is pregnant haha.

Anyways, just a quick one to say don't give up hope the end of the ESA50 is nigh!
