    hi,

i have a heart condition and soundsa to me like a palpertration when your heart beat is noticable, it should pass i get them all the time. Worrying will make them worse as ur heart will beat faster anyway, try and keep calm and should pass

I suffer with palpitations too.Anxiety, stress and sometimes even too much coffee can trigger them.the thing is once I focus on it I seem to make it worse. I would mention it to the doc in case it is a side effect of something.

Hi, Years ago I was experiencing what you have mentioned and I thought it was a sort of 'nervous' palpatation. :? However, my GP ran tests and it showed I had a heart murmor, what is called an extra stystolic beat. It's not serious and in fact, many athletes suffer with it.It was diagnosed in my late 20's or early 30's and I'm now coming up to 63 and have never needed medication for it.I wouldn't worry too much about it but your GP can do an ECG just to check the heartbeat and to put your mind at rest. I take thyroxine - had a thyroid op years and years ago. Sometimes I feel my heart beating faster or fluttering or palpatations - all those words would describe the feeling.

The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.

Hi, i get this - palpatations - which i think is a side effect from all the painkillers i'm on. i find the best thing to do is lie down and listen to music to try to take my mind off it. it feels worse if i pay too much attention to it. i have had ECG and everthing is normal.

Hi funkym I had a similar problem, I also have high blood pressure and when it happened I thought it was curtains for me some flutters were very intense, it turned out it was caused by the Nortriptyline I have been given for my OA, best thing you can do is go and see your GP just to be sure and to put your mind at rest.

Hi Its probably nothing to worry about, but to be on the safe side,I'd go and talk to my GP. If nothing else, it will help you to stop worrying. To be honest, too, its always best to get any cheast/heart beat changes checked out. :):) Love Sue

I suffer from palpatations now and then, usually when i have taken a lot of pain releif on bad days. I have also found that tea and coffee does not help.

Hope you feel better with it soon but do get it checked out
