Hi All,

Is it just me or has everyones arthur attacked them in the last few day? its been wintery here!

Yestuday i spent the day in bed i woke up for about 2hours in 24hours, my body was just so tired, today i am still really tired but ive managed to get through without a nap due to pure grit that i dont want to spend another day in bed, although i did nrly fall asleep pushing the trolly  my partner keeps telling me togo sleep :( So yes the tiredness is really gripping my life at the moment.

My other problem is pain its seems to be really intense at the moment. I am even noticing it in new places, in my lower back and behind my left knee? (funny enough its my left foot that is damage). I have been stiff all dya for the last couple of days and pain is very much there, steroids are not working .. i feel the way i did when arthur stuck ..

Thanks for listening

    Hi Maqdness
Poor you you sound really rough at the moment :(
If you need to sleep though you know I would. Your body sounds like it needs a rest at the mo :( Your partner is right.
If it persists then it's back to the docs I suppose
You look after yourself and I really hope you feel better tomorrow

I've been feeling very lethargic the past few weeks, more so since I came off steroids. Not so tired that I want to sleep, just no energy and can't stop yawning! Talking about sleep, has anyone any remedies for a good nights sleep apart from taking sleeping tablets? When I had a severe flare up,I was prescribed sleeping tablets.Took them for one night but the next two days I felt like a zombie. Tried all the usual things like a warm bath, hot milky drink etc but I still end up cat napping through the night.Never sleep longer than an hour at a time. All remedies gratefully received!!! Breane. :)

    hi,im the same as you.
ive come back from holiday & all ive done is sleep.
ive never been able to sleep during the day but since weve come back ive got up tired then just gone back to bed, yesterday i didnt sleep,as weve got the builders in. but day before i went up at 1pm & never woke till 6.40pm :shock:then still slept like a log until 10.30am i hadnt taken a sleeping pill since the 1st day of holiday & last night i took 2,thats the 1st ive needed.i usually take 50 mg.
if your body is saying rest then you do need to rest.you'll feel better for it.
its a long day staying awake in constant pain.
then its the constant pain that causes the tiredness, its a vicious circle im afraid.sorry i dont have to answers, take care, debsx

I've been mentioning on another topic that i've just been prescribed Amitriptyline as my sleep pattern is rubbish at the moment. Anywhere between 2.30am and 4.30am with no sleep thereafter. i'm always unsure about the amount of meds. we can end up taking but sleep is so important and can affect how you feel so profoundly that for a short period at least i'm willing to take my GP's advice. And yes my symptoms are definitely affected by the weather. The humidity we had a couple of weeks ago messed me up.

Hi, My neck is painful today and I've had a lot of the tingling sensations in my left arm which comes from my neck. Sleept like a log last night, I did have ammatrip. but, I was really tired! :)

This weather, although we've got double glazing, its not too good, and we get quite a few draughts and I'm sure they find the sore places. We live in an exposed place, with just fields on one side, lovely in the nice weather but.... I was supposed to arrange estimates for new double glazing during the summer, but put it off, oh well.... Love Sue

After a relatively pain free week today I've been very uncomforytable with a dull ache in my right arm shoulder oing down my arm and I can't seen to keep my eyes open.
I don't know if the tiredness is due to the arthur or because it's near the end of the school hols and they are taking their toll on me

As I've said on another thread, I find listening to the radio with the volume very low helps to send me to sleep. I concentrate in listening to the lyrics and it takes my mind off 'not sleeping' and pain. Fortunately it doesn't disturb my O/H but if it did I'd use my MP3 player.

    Hope this helps.
