    Hi Val

I am sorry to hear that your shopping trip ended up with you and your joints not feeling that great at all.

At your appointment on Tuesday, I think it would be a good idea if you relate today's scenario to your gp exactly as you have told us. This will give your gp some idea as how things are going or rather not going too well for you at the moment. If I remember correctly you have had other recent episodes of not feeling too good either. These are the fact that I feel your should relay to your gp. If you do not tell him/her they will not know, will they?

I do hope you feel more rested and have less pain by tomorrow. I wish you well with your appointment.

    Luv
    Elna x

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.

Hope all goes well for your appointment. Meantime I'd say try to rest as much as you can and take whatever painkillers you need. It sounds like a great idea to write things down and let your GP know exactly what's been happening.

Yes, I'd agree with the others, relating that story might be more helpful for the Dr to understand.

If it's any help before I knew what was wrong, if I did anything like walking for a while or standing, I'd always get an ache in my back, when my hubby used to ask how sore it was I'd say "pretty bad, but just what I always get".

Then when I found out it was OA, I remembered all these times this happened and going to the Dr and getting sent home with sheets of excercises!! This was even after I mentioned my previous illness. I wish I'd fought more to have further investigations, so if you feel fobbed off - don't take it.

    Good luck

    Eck

    Hi Val
I hope you are feeling a good bit better today?
I too endorse what the others are saying - you have to tell it as it is/was and see what the advice is.
    Good luck and take care

    Hi Val
Sorry you still feel awful :(:(
I beleive you need meds first - then your outlook on life automatically improves.
It's a viscious circle you see, pain leads to feeling donw, leads to further pain, resrticted lifestyle, leads to feeling more down.
    Makes sense doesn't it?
So for the next day or two you should cosset yourself and do anything you can which is not too strenuous, like reading, music, nice bath etc.
Then off to the docs on tuesday - cry if you need to - get the meds sorted and you will be able to take some control of you life again.
    Thinking of you Val

Hi, Sorry you'r suffering, I do know what you mean though. If its for something really nice it doesn't seem so bad as just normal shopping. Hope you get over it quickly.
