Afternoon all,
Yes hes reminded me i have RA today! and i want him to buggar off , Everything i try to do as i usually did a few months back is becoming difficult, weeding!,rolling pastry!........so i have resorted to download on here.......sorry!
To top the lot!!!, hubby said in a nice way that i have to take it on the chin i am not a lot of use in helping him renovate our house anymore :? .........and i had thought i would be quite able to do the limewashing and the windows and doors externally as i am not a blinkin invalid! But good mind to let him do it all now :? ........I think a good nights sleep would do me good
Take care Karina x

Aw Karina
I definitely think a day off today is in order and hopefully you get a good night's sleep too and the start to a new week is better for you. We can only do our best - things do get more difficult and some things one can no longer do, or need help with, but I am sure as sure that I am not giving up without a real fight and I may be slower and not do things as often as I feel I should do, everyone told me I did too many unnecssary chores, too often anyway and now I fill my day with other things like looking after my grand child as and when, calling in on here and making a nuisance of myself, staying in touch with my friends more and keeping positive and smiley. I keep the house running ok - it is only me and hubby and I no longer work.
With my character I would be all the more determined to help renovate the house if my hubby said that to me I do not give up easily. That is just me though.
Hope you feel better tomorrow, I am sure you will.
love

 a ha Karina............ is your husband trying 'reverse pychology' on you? (in the nicest possible way of course )
I too would be like Elna and take that as a challenge, you know, thinking along the lines of "I'll show him"
On the other hand, do tell him that you could take on a supervisory role instead of the physical stuff lol

Hi, Yes, thats the idea!!! Its so easy to let it beat you and I do confess to some days giving in, but I always feel so blnnny guilty! :? My husband often says, when I have a moan, why didn't you wait for me? But I don't want to wait a couple of weeks! He's very good, but it has to be in his time.
Take care. Love Sue0 -

Hey Karina
Yep, you show them. You did really well this afternoon and I bet you were pleased with yourself and so you should be. Great stuff.
I think Jackie may have a good point there regarding what hubby said
Suet crust pudding as well. I am definitely not mentioning that to my hubby - he will be saying if you can do it, why can't I?!!
Love

I am with Jackie on this one!!!
Surely a wife's job with DIY is one of supervision and direction ...
Well it is in our house anyway
Otherwise how will hubby know where to drill / paint/ paper etc without getting it wrong
hubby is used to this now - I make the decisions and he does what I tell him ot ....that way he gets in trouble a lot less and things get done!0 -
Hi, It answer to your enquiry as to a wifes job being to supervise and offer the best advise as to how to do thing the job to specification correctly. I'm afraid, although you are, of course, perfectly right, in my house, due to the failure of the male partner to follow instructions to the letter, and due to keeping the job within a realistic time frame, before the customer complains, the wife sometimes HAS TO DO IT HERSELF!
Sorry but the above is often the case with us. Also, I admit to quite enjoying painting. But don't tell my husband. love Sue0 -
