I want to wait as long as i can realy before i start taking painkillers. I am a school cleaner so my hands gets quite a lot of exercise so i guess thats a good thing ?.
Don't forget that exercise doesn't mean hard work, I 'don't do' exercise as such but I try to do as much as I can in the way of household jobs and gardening. Swimming is a pleasure and gets the old endorphins moving around the body.
Painkillers aren't all about killing pain, they help with inflammation and swelling and dull the pain a touch, you'll still feel it, just not quite so wearing or sharp a feel.

Hi airwave, so true ! i didn t think about it being hard work v exercise, i will have to watch how much i do. I also didn t think about painkillers being an anti inflamatory as well, so i might start taking some at night, they may help me sleep better.
