    Hi Joanne,

This is worth printing off along with my own 'must have' when I'm in hospital - my own toilet paper, the hospital's is like trying to wipe your bum with dental floss

Thanks for posting this. This is a good idea for a thread too. I always keep 2 clean decent looking pairs of pj's and a pk of baby wipes, a toilet bag with toothbrush, showergell, deodorant, bodyspray for those times when I may need it. Although I never thought I would, I did need them when I was admitted as an emergency at the beginning of August. Saved me paniking and rushing around trying to buy things.
Wish I'd thought of the note book to write things down on, I found myself writing down what I was feeling on the back of the list of instructions about visiting times and the page the OT gave me.

Hello, My Mum used to have quite a few stays in hospital due to her arther. She always took several packets of Polo mints, she said they stopped her feeling sick.

When my mum had cancer we did not really know what to do for her. we did many things, but i wonder why is this is not printed on leaflets. They could be put in doctors surgerys, hospitals etc.
We all will have someone in life who is ill, who we want to help but dont know how.
It would be good as a thread as others may have different ideas to add to this list. thanks for all your replys joanne :D
