Rheumy Appt tomorrow - hoping for treatment

I've got my Rheumy appt tomorrow brought forward from December as I've been in such a bad way. Can't have MTX or Sulpha as it had bad effects, anti-inflam on current dose doesn't work and if I up the dose my stomach flares up badly, codeine makes me have a bad turn, they won't give me tramadol or any other morphine based drug because of my reaction to codeine and anything you get over the counter doesn't even take the edge of anymore. I'm in agony all the time and the fatigue, well you all know how that is. My file said that in December they were going to consider anti-TNF which up to now they wouldn't because of funding and my blood never shows ESR or CRP elevated even though I'm in agony. Fingers crossed tomorrow they will finally progress with some proper treatment as I simply can't take anymore. I had to take 7 weeks of work and last week went back 50% and its absolutely killling me. I don't want to take time off sick again as I was so bored and got very low and tearful, the interaction in the office helps my state of of mind to cope with this but physically it's so tough.

Hi Tracy
Fingers crossed that you get the help you need at your appointment. Hopefully if that happens you will start feeling much better. Have you any ideas what treatment they might give you now? whatever it is lets hope it works well and quickly.

Just to give you a little hope:
I'm on an Anti-TNF and my blood work rarely shows anything, even when I'm swollen up like a balloon, joints red hot and clearly in dreadful pain.0 -
Dear Tracy
Just to wish you all the best with your appointment. I am so sorry that you are feeling really unwell. I am sure all the worry about being off work is not helping matters either. We do worry very much when we are off sick and yes, being with other people on a daily basis in the working environment does help one's state of mind even when not feeling too good.
Please let us know how you get on and I hope you start feeling better both mentally and physically very soon.
