Does anyone else on here get problems with J walkers when out shopping?. The other day I tried to plop me flippers round Tesco’s with the help of the war office and after dodging and generally trying to avoid the constant stream of idiots who just walked in front of me or try & trip me up or just attack me with their trolley my knees hurt so much I gave up and had to retire to the car. It’s the same on pavements it really takes it out of me flippers avoiding people these days. One last thing why isn't there a mister angry on the emotions faces?. :?

    Hi
I know just what you mean about shopping. I try and only go out with my hubby. I'm pleased I'm not the only one who finds the very flat surfaces of supermarkets, DIY stores, shops, pavements and roads a killer. It really takes it out of your knees and you end up hurting more as well as hobbling..and I don't know about you but my joints swell up and it makes it harder to move.

I was in agony after going out with hubby shoppping on the weekend. Like you I had to give up and just gave him the trolley and waited for him to finish. I just had to rest my OA riddled knees so sat on one of the benches in the supermarket.

Maybe we need a special lane, you know like they have for bicycles!!! It could be the disabled and people with arthur lane!
Some people are just not 'aware' or blank us. I know what it means to be a 'non-person' now. They just look right through you. I actually heard someone laughing at someone with a walking stick not me - otherwise my stick would have been in their gobs!

I thought I was the only one who suffered with the shops and the shops- glad I'm not alone. It's a killer.

I shop on line with Asda now, it is so much easier, they even bring
the shopping in for you, other supermarkets are good too love Jaspercatxx

oh yes i agree to! i do my shopping online now to as it's easier.
yesterday i went into town and it was hard work! my eldest is going away for a week with school so i had to get the last few bits she needed, i'm totally skint now!! but people seem to be blinkered, they just go where they want to go and no regard for others! my feet and hands were killing me when i got home, all that swerving to avoid others!!

I have the same problem taking my daughter to school. This is the second week I have been doing this journey and I spend most of the time avoiding little children whizzing past on their scooters, pushchairs and dogs on long leads.I just wish they would be more aware of me as I feel so vulnerable they dont seem to take very much care around me.I cling to the inside of the pavement to get out the way.One bash of the crutches and I will be down and prob back in hospital.
I love the idea of our own lane!
    Take care Tkachev.

Hi, Yes they have their mind set on what they want and become totally blind to anything or anyone else. But what I hate even more is going shopping with my husband. Its soooooo embarrissing  - he get really annoyed and just pushes his way though saying loudly 'mind your backs' ohhhhhhhh    Now he does an internet order for the big, heavy stuff and I get bits that we need from the local supermarket, on my own. Much more relaxing! Love Sue
