at last/pain management

hi all, well finally ive got my appointment through for pain management clinic.Only been waiting since may :shock:
just filled in the questionere on pain,where its & how bad.
nearly run out of room for the list of medications i take :shock:

so roll on 14th oct.
so i'll be watching out for any1 else that goes before me.

what im hoping for is a review of my meds for something that attaully works :shock: if theres anything that does.

Hi Debs.
I have had my legs aching for over 8 years and no meds as helped.
i also have a disc pressing on a nerve in my spine so my back and hips ache.
have you had a mri scan i had one in june.

Hi, Its not crazy to be looking forward to something that is offering you hope that you will have effective treatment for your pain. In fact it would be odd if you didn't want to go! :shock: I really hope that you can have some help to get rid of at least some of the pain and hopefull most of it. Its a step in the right direction.

hi joan,i had my MRI in may but only got results a week or so ago.
it showed prolasped disc in L4/L5 but no root nerve disease.
so i suppose that will be discused at appointment too.

got to see dentist next wk too as last night i bit on a bit of pizza & half me tooth fell out Arghhhh :shock: & im petrified of dentist,would rather have an op awake then them digging away at me.

I am glad its come through at last for you. No it makes sense to be looking forward to it cus if they are like mine it don't half help. I see mine the week or so after you and well I am kinda looking forward to that too...... The highlight of life seems to be a visit to a pain clinic eh?

Your tooth well....... I also hate dentists visits but am terrified of loosing them as well, bit of a paradox eh? (Is that the right word?!) any way fingers crossed that both appointments go really well. Luv Cris x

hi cris,i think the high light of my life is just getting out of the house fullstop.
lets hope this helps,trouble is the letter doesnt say how long its for,just turn up 15 mins before appointment & the appointment is 8.30.
should i ring them to see if its just appointment or half day thing :?:
its the same place as does the jabs.

thanks joan,i think i'll ring them on monday as i dont want oh to be hanging around if its a long appointment,he can come pick me up later then.
