Hi Snowdrop,
No no chat room only the public forums and the personal messaging. Both of those are obvioulsy slower - at least you can get lots of advice friom lots of people on these forums. Personal messaging is private - if you do get on really well with someone you can swap MSN addresses etc I suppose if people are use those?
You take care

Hi all,
I have asked the web manager for the reasons we don't have a chat room. The reason why we cannot do this is because we don’t have the resources to moderate a live chat room. Everyone who moderates on this site, including me, is a volunteer living with arthritis.
Hope this helps explain things,

Hi Jan,
I have yahoo and windows live and I have no idea how to use any of it   I don't quite understand chat rooms either and have a sort of fear of face book....... hey I am a technophobe! Cris x0 -
I think that would be a great idea for here. We do have the posting but chat would be so much fun and faster.0

Thanks for that Jean, it would be nice but as you say we rely on volunteers suffering themselves to even have the forum in the first place and trust me I speak for all when I say your contributions are greatly appreciated.

 Quite honestly I spend so much time on here, if there was a chatroom, I think I would be permanently glued to the chair and nothing else would get done at all, so for me, I am happy there is not.
All the mods do a great job on here reading through the threads for checking purposes, they do too much as it is. A truly wonderful network provided by these wonderful peeps behind the scenes, that helps so many people in different ways.
Thank you,
Luv

[Hi jordan7j,
I've removed the personal detail from the post. It is always best to avoid posting any specific "real-world" information about yourself as this is a public space. Let us know if you have any questions about this.
