Well I am all moved house into my new flat. Now I begin the task of trying to find a new doctor, and hopefully one that will take me seriously and ty to help me. Annoyingly I got diagnosed with OA right before I left uni, so who knows if my notes will even be here with me!

HELLO Good luck with the GP hunting! The best way to find a good practice is word-of-mouth, but its a matter of luck really, I read in the paper yesterday that the government is going to make it easier to use practices outside your postcode area, so if you need to change it may become easier. :) Love Sue

Ive moved to Leicester. I was pleased to hear about being able to move doctors easier, only too right we should be able to choose our own care!

That's great you finally have the place you were hoping for. I'm sure you will find a nice Dr in your area, shop around, I often think you get an idea of the practice just by speaking to the receptionist. Avoid the snooty ones at all cost.

    Hi Ducky
I hope you will be very happy in your new home
Good luck with the GP hunt too. I would like to go to a surgery where they have at least one female GP!
I agree with what some of the others say - ask around before you decide and get some local advice :)
    Take care

Give your old surgery a ring and make sure they are. I hope you are happy in your new flat and your new doctor is understanding and caring.

    Take care.

    Hello,
Even with an emergency request, notes can take quite a while to get through. When we moved, I asked my old GP if he would write a letter to the new GP explaining the problems and treatment. He was very happy to do this and it certainly helped make the transition smoother. It also gave me one less thing to stress over! Hope you find someone good. Love Sue

    Hi
Good luck in your New Home.

I live in Kettering which is not too far from Leic and my son lives in Market Harborough which is even nearer.
Suggest you go to a very good pub, celebrate your move and new home and ask the locals about drs. Investigate first.
    Ask in the shops too.

    Good luck.
