Hello Alli,
This really is a question for you Doctor, I would give the surgery a call & ask them to clarify the medication you should be taking. If closed over the weekend you could contact NHS Direct for their advice. I take quite a few pain relief meds but we are all different in our response to them. Sorry that I cant be more helpful to you.

HI
1, diclofenac 50mg
2.tramadol 50mg
3.Dihyoro codine 30mg
4serterline. depression 100mg
5 codine phosphate. 50mg
Its looking like you have
1. an anti inflammatory
2. painkiller
3. painkiller
4. antidressant
5. painkiller
Be ever so careful about taking all that amount of painkillers.
I find that co-drydramol is enough for me
Tramadol is a tad too stong and makes me feel sick.
I would def ask your surgery for advice on these drugs.
Hope you get sorted out with the meds soon.

Hi
Don't take more than one of the painkillers as previous post has indentified.
So, only take tramadol, or, dihydrocodeine or codeine phosphate. Dont mix them together or you will overdose. dihydrocodeine is the strongest, tramadol next then codeine phosphate. Take one sort over the weekend and then phone chemist or dr on Monday. If you are still confused then phone NHS direct, they can help you.
Carry on with the diclofenac as thast is an anitflammatory, that will be ok.
Hope this helps

Glad to have been able to help, sertraline is also ok to take.
Pill box excellent idea, I have one of those too and it helps me to remind whether I have taken them or not, (memory is now mush!)

Hi Allix Glad you posted as i too thought that tramadol was the strongest, my gp even said they are!!! oh well, you learn a little every day!!! It does sound alot of different pain meds though . The advice given sounds very sensible, good luck sorting it all out Jay :?0

Are you sure tramadol isn't the strongest?
My son was moved on to them when the others didn't work.
He takes tramadol and codydramol together as well as a lot of others.0 -
tramadol is the strongest(its horses for courses though might not touch some people where a lighter drug would they are different types of drugs) but you can take it with 1 of the other pain killers i would check with the gp about both of them as its possably to much codein. some time drs forget to cancel old prescriptions so it might need reviewing. keep your gp informed of your pain as their are loads of combinations out there or even a change in your anti-inflam can help. hope something makes you comfortable0

Hi Ali
You must see your GP - make a list of the meds you have at the moment. Your GP needs to know and you need to to know! Do you have all of these meds on repeat prescription?
Be careful honey.

Hi, I think I would phone the doctor to make check the pills are correct and when you should take them. Either that or ask the Chemist, they know a lot about the subject and are always willing to help. The pharmasist at our Boots even has a consulting room in the shop, they do blood pressure and sugars, simple things, but vital and as they are in the same building as the GP practice, they send over anyone they find who is not normal. I'm not sure that its such a good idea, but at least, they are within shouting distance of the docs!!!
Hope you get on well with the meds. Love Sue0
