Hi
Just got back from the drs. He didn't seem too bothered!

For some time now, maybe 2 yrs, I have had a small cyst above my left eye. Also across the left side of my forehead a lump has appeared. The cyst is getting bigger and pressing on nerve. Looks like a layer of fluid.
We have two separate things here and they are very uncomfortable.
I told my dr that I had a continual burning feeling like neuralgia across my head.
So he has said it is the arthritis. The swelling could be anything surely? He said my last blood test did show a raised inflammatory which seems to be normal for me. So does arthritis attack the skull aswell? I'm prepared to have it elsewhere but not in my head because it is affecting my eyes too. I'm fed up at the moment. How much more can I take sort of thing. I'll get over it. And also, the inside of my mouth is now becoming affected. continual ulcers so I have some more things to add to my prescription list.
Joy

Oh my god!! you would think he would be more sympathatic??!!!! I get pains in my head, app it is part of having PA, but it doesnt last for long thank god. But if the cyst is affecting your eye, you need it looked at! What about contacting the hospital and talking to RH secretary and see if they can advice??

    cyber hugs to help you!!!

I'll give it a month, then make an appointment with my OH's dr. more sympathetic. I know I saw a dr in the practice 2 yr ago, when it was quite small, but still pressing on the eyebrow where it is bonier. (I Remember the pimples I use to get as a teenager). I need referral to a plastic surgeon really.
just another thing to worry about. Makes it difficult to concentrate on my drawing and painting.

This isn`t good enough Joy. No wonder you`re so p........ off.

That sentence "I`ll get over it" says a lot though to me. Although I`m a great believer in positive thinking, I feel that, occasionally, we have to say - hey hang on a minute, I`m not happy with that. I want further investigation.

Hope you feel able to take this further, as it`s obvious that you`re worried.........Ange.

    Hi Joy
    Miserable doctor!
What are they like eh?
I hope you WILL go back if it doesn't go opn it's own - you shouldn't have to put up with it. I remeber those teenage spots they hurt like h*ll and could almost make your eyes water!

Arthur is quite relentless isn't he! I got really scared when I started to wake up in the morning and, when I swallowed, 'something' clicked in the front of my throat -
just like my knee or ankles click when they get swollen
I asked my rheumy nurse and she said you can get it in the BACK of your neck but she'd never heard of it in the front......

Anyway, I googled it and yep, sure enough, it can affect your throat/voice box etc etc. Fortunately for me, it seems to have gone from there at least. I mentioned it to my rheumy because I was frightened of it coming back, and choking me to death! Well, he was most reassuring :)

Sorry, I'm waffling a bit - my point was arthur seems to strike just about everywhere (don't even want to think what he's doing to my internal organs).

Hope you feel better soon, and get some help in sorting this out.

    Hi
I have never heard of having arthur in your head; mouth or that your eyes could be affected. You poor thing.

Your doctor doesn't seem that bothered ...you don't sound reassured about anything. I had a doctor who was so rude that I refused to see him ever again. I now have a lovely female doctor.

If you're not happy with the way you are feeling then see someone else. You should not have to suffer in this way. I would be concerned if I had a cyst.

I hope you get something sorted soon and get some answers. I'm sure someone will come along who understands what you're going through and might be able to suggest something.

    In the meantime take care.

    Thanks for all your views.
I was surprised he didn't diagnosed Mad Cow Disease. I certainly felt mad when I left.
This pm I have been to my painting session. I could have curledup in bed, but no I thought, I had to make the effort because I had promised a friend that I would take her picture to an exhibition for her. Well, I sat trying to do this painting thinking what a mess it was and everyone round me saying how good it was. Anyway, all I was feeling was this thing on my head burning away. Was this a flare up of Psoriatic Arthritis, will read up on it again. Perhaps it does affect the cranium aswell. I'm putting an ice pack on it at present and that seems to help. Again thanks, if anyone else has ideas let me know. I could aways just turn up at A&E and make a fuss
