Apos Treatment

Hi All,
Through work, I have BUPA membership and they send a newsletter thing every now and again. There was an article in the last one about Apos treatment which is now available in the UK. Have had a look at their website and if the advertising blurb is to be believed, it looks quite good for those with knee and back pain.
Has any one used this?
See what you think, the website is http://www.apostreatment.co.uk/

Hi Heather
Dare I ask - do you know how much?
Toni x0 -
Haven't been brave enough to investigate the cost yet, but I will see if I can find out0
-
I could see no mention of price - so it is going to be pricey surely?
From what I understood there are only 2 places in the country where this is being carried out.......

Where was it Toni? Can I get there by bicycle? If you belong to BUPA will they pay, do you think?

Bet Bupa won't pay...worth finding out of you're in it though...0 -
Have checked the prices and the treatment costs a mere £3250 :!: if you go private. They weren't sure if BUPA would cover the total cost but think they would pay towards it.
They do easy(?) payment schemes as well £1750 ish up front and 5 monthly payments of £300. (works out more expensive this way).
The good news (if there is any) is that the consultation is free and lasts for 2 hours after which you can decide if you want to go ahead.
Looks like I'll have to keep taking the painkillers and wait until Saturday when I win the lottery for this one! :roll:0 -
Thank you for that, Newbury. You have done your homework well.
I think for the time being I will stay with my crocs and MBT's. Worth bearing in mind though, so again thank you for that info. I shall file that away in my one brain cell.

APOS (All Phases Of Step) is a diagnostic/exercise treatment in association with BUPA and looks at faults in posture and walking.
Special diagnostic machines assist in the diagnostic of the faults by looking at the way you walk and then APOS supply special shoes which they claim help to correct your posture.

As most people slump forward when they walk or stand, simply standing/walking more upright should help everyone with back or knee problems. And, as per normal, its FREE. Wearing good, comfortable shoes is a must.
Upright, not uprise. Smileyclot.
