clicking wrists

Hi over the last week, my wrists have started clicking, what does this mean, does it mean there is no fluid left around my wrists?
Also I am experiencing pain on my arm muscles, is this normal as it is not on the bone but along the muscle?
Can anyone advise?
Thanks
Pammi

Hi Pammi,
Clicking joints are I belive fairly normal, that sort are caused by air bubbles in the fluid I think, but it is a while ago and my memory ain't too good now a days. With pain in your forearm muscles it would be best to get them looked at. Mine do the wrong kind of clicking and are swollen at the mo, so it maybe best with the pain bit to go see your gp. Good luck and let us know please? Take care Cris0 -
Hi Pammie,
I can't help you with regards to the clicking other than to say my wrists are very good at it!
I do know that the connective tissue that joins muscle to bone can become inflammed and this can cause pain in muscles...
I know it's not much but I hope this helps a little

Hi - my wrists have started clicking a lot too. Or they feel very uncomfortable and I squeeze them to release something (psychologically I think it helps!?!?!) and then they crunch! don't like doing it but it seems to relieve some of the discomfort. I get pain in the muscles in my upper arms - especially when i go to bed. Its something to do with the inflammation in the joints causing pressure on the muscles I think. What a mystery arthritis is!! Can't just be simple can it?!!!0

Ah yes...... the aching muscles, the clicking joints.
When I first went to my gp about all the symptons I was getting, it was when I mentioned the aching muscles in my arms that he seemed most concerned, it obviously alerted him that I could have something quite serious. Sure enough, RA was diagnosed.
Six months into treatment, I don't get the muscle aching as much, but boy do my bones crack at times! Loudly!
I just say "crick, crack, what a crock I am"

OMG, I have been getting that a lot, upper arm pain. It is like you are bruised on your arms and your actions are slow and painful. After say 4 hours of taking my antiinflamatories the pain disappears but then comes back at night time.
My wrists are better in the morning but bad towards middle and end of day. I am going to see the RA specialist today so I will ask him about this pain.
thanks for your response.0 -
Hi, All my life I've had noisy joints, they maky horrible, cracking sounds, the worst thing some of them do is a quieter, painful gritty noise which I hate. I have OA. Love Sue0

Hi Pammi
Just wondering how you got on at the rheumy's?
Did you get any ansers?
I too get the clicking - here there and everywhere. The ones which worry me are a bit different and are a bit 'jerky' and come when a flare is dying down.
You take care

Hi Toni
Would you believe it if I told you it was a result of my ICSI / IVF cycle.
My body thought the drugs were a foreighn body and my immune system broke down, the RA guy said i was going to get it anyway but this brought it our earlier, im only 39 not 59????
I had it, 20years of my life bought forward for wanting a child. I waneted to have another IVF cycle but my gyny want me to get my pain under control before I go for the next cylce.
