hi was having bad time during the week and a friend from another forum messaged me it did not make the pain go away or the stiffness, but it did make me feel less alone. so keep in touch with people give them a message if u have not heard from them for a few days as just knowing some one out there cares does make such a difference . even just knowing u r missed helps to make life feel better so keep a good look out for those who go missing and send them a message just to check all is well

Know what you mean, thank goodness for people on here as nobody else seems to care.

It is very comforting to be remembered.

I was diagnosed with Arthritis in my spine five weeks ago it came as a shock to say the least and I'm only 39 years old  but my Consultant's Associate told me that having Steriod Injections should help but I'm in two minds about having them. I've had two previous injections in my left hip as I also have Arthritis in that and neither has worked. I'm also taking Glucosamine Sulphate which was recommended by a neighbour of mine.0

Hi Val,
I think it is always nice to know there is someone who cares even if its cyberly and we have a few missing and I hope they are all ok. Cris x
Hi Pam,
Welcome to the site and I hope you find it useful.
I also have oa in the spine and neck and have had since my 20's ad to be honest the jabs have really helped over the years so I think you should go for them.
Gloucotomin helps in the early stages, I found but doesn't once it has progressed and maybe you need some help from the gp? Its such a shock though I know to be told you have it somewhere else as well as your hips and well I hope that finding this site will help you to find your way through it all. Take care Cris0 -

Hi Pam
Welcome to the forum. I bet it was a shock to get that diagnosis. Injections do help sometimes, for a longer or shorter time, but of course if one does not try, one will never know. I have had successes and failures in the past, one lot only lasting 2 weeks. Gluco is fine to take, it helps some and not others. Again, if you don't try, you don't know. I gave up after a good few years but it is now available on prescription so the medics agree they can help.
Hope to see you posting again, perhaps starting a new thread and then more peeps will notice and welcome you too.
