Hi

I am so :x :x :x :x .

Following on from my last post " feeling really annoyed" this is the lastest. My collegue of mine who is my sons school nurse had a chat with the child reumatologist. The reume was desparate to see harry as the pediatrician had discussed harry with her, but obviously can't without a referral. She wants him at her clinic in november and as cov and warwick haven't pulled there fingers out due to being "short staffed", she advised to visit my GP to allocate him a time on the computer booking service. SOooooooo I dashed to my GP today and he REFUSED, but instead rung the doctors secretary instead. He wouldn't listen to me when i explainined i had already done that and it got me no-where. He is an idle old man and to be honest my experience with him up to date is that he won't do it because he bloody can't be bothered or doesn't know how to do it and is happier to leave it to someone else. Believe me i have tried to change GP.

I am feeling really frustrated. Harry is having a really bad week again, just generally feeling drained, and is legs and back feel very achy and painful. HAve any of you any suggestions how we can help him with this. At the minute he is having ibroprofen, but whilst that helps the swelling, it donesn't take away the pain and achiness. The GP also refused to prescribe him anything other then ibroprofen to help him with this so i am feeling a little helpless, and harry will continue to be in pain until the idiots can get round to sorting him out.

Thank you for listening, and a huge thankyou to everyone who has replied to my previous posts. :)

    Hi Harry's Mum,

That is disgusting, all I can think of is write a very formal letter to the practice manager and pp it to the consultant willing to see Harry. Also get in touch with the people who govern gp's and see if there is any chance of them helping or finding you a better gp.

I am angry for you as well and hope someone will be able to help you better than I. You take care, keep at them and well i really hope harry can be seen soon. ((( ))) Cris x

    Aw, Lu

This it an utter nightmare for you. Is this man waiting to retire or something? If Harry gets really bad take him to A&E. You will get help there.

Write to PALS, write to your practice manager at the surgery, as Cris says and to your MP. Google Write to Them and you will easily be able to email him/her.

This man is getting paid for doing nothing. How can he sleep at night? He is a monster.

I wonder what the helpline would suggest if you called them, better than leaving a message on the helpline zone.Telephone number at top of the screen. Well worth a try I would think.

I cannot believe that this is happening to you and Harry.

    Luv

The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.

    Hi
    God you must be furious!
You can try things like ice packs and i reckon he can have kids paracetamol as well for now? The poor lad I am so sorry you are getting the run around.
I bet he can't use the bl**dy computer. meanwhile your child suffers.
    Good luck
    Love
