:( Hi everyone, I am sooo angry and upset I went for the scan on my hands today, and he scanned my wrists and palms of my hands !!! ok you may think but the swellings are on my fingers and my thumbs go out of joint..............does this make any sence ???? I can really be doing without this stress with the way I am feeling at the moment. Now have to ring rheumy and make another appointment to see him, which is a waste of time sometimes I wonder if it is worth the bother.

Take care

Rosie

    Aw, Rosie

What can I say? Did you notice at the time that the xrays were not being taken of your thumbs and fingers or afterwards? It is worth the bother to have the xrays done again, but I can well understand how you are feeling about it, at the moment.

I am sending cyber hugs over to you, I so wish you could have some better days.

    Love
    Elna x

    Hi Rosi

When I went for my scan they scanned my wrists, both sides of my palms, that was because they were looking for inflammation. I cannot remember if they did it to my fingers.

I did have full x rays of my hands and fingers and wrists. Can you remember if they x rayed them?

    Take care

my finger kept dislocating and it was very painful, my rheumy put a steroid injection in it which did hurt but also did the trick, my finger is perfect now!

Hi, Scanning produces a 3D picture and shows soft tissue. Could it be, and this sounds silly but, what they are getting is a picture through your hand which will include your fingers? Just a thought, I'm no expert! :) Hope you find something out from the scan. Love Sue
