For a few weeks I've been having shooting pains in my ear, very slight dizzy feeling and my ears feel blodked. I thought I had an ear infection, but its hasn't got better or worse, this sounds silly, but could it be connected to arthur ? Only I've read about something to do with ears but cant remember it! I do feel silly asking if anyone has had anything like this, but I don't want go to see my GP yet again, its becoming embarrising, not that they have mentioned this, it just me feeling awful making yet another appointment! Love Sue

hi, not much help, but i get pain in my jaw from arthur and it can feel likes it's my ears that are hurting?
i do think if it's painful you should see gp, my gp always say's she'd rather see me and find it's nothing than me just put up with things.

This is interesting Sue. For months now, I have had a "blocked" feeling in my ears. So much so that I had my ears syringed, but still the same. I don`t get any pain though, just a sort of cracking noise in my head at times. Not very descriptive, but best I can do. I too wondered if it could be anything to do with Arthur........Ange.0

Hi Woodbon
Do you remember my blog the other day about the pain I was getting over the left side of my head, sometimes in the ear and a previous pain in my jaw, which had me dashing to the dentist thinking that I had an absess. My dentist told me that I had jaw ache (no rude comments please)
My gp says it is the arthritis causing all these pains. I think we get these extra aches and pains and straight away worry unnecessarily.
It's because we know that we just couldn't cope with anything else.
Now when my head hurts or my ear or nose or mouth, I fill the hot water bottle and take a couple of paracetamol.
I hope you feel better chuck. It never seems to end does it?

Hi Sue,
I occasionally have a sore left ear which, when quite bad, can make me very dizzy to the point I need medication to stop the nausea.
Something to do with fluid in the middle ear and pressure building up, but not an infection - he called it labrinthitis. Blowing your nose and steam inhalation may help.
But I couldn't tell you if it is related in any way to arthur.
Hope it clears up soon.

Thanks everyone, I've had it for a while and put it down to infection or sinus. Its just the way it feels is a bit odd and I think when you have something wrong, everything you I get I put down to that! If it doesn't get better, I'll have to find out the cause! All the little bits of ache and pain put together can drive you mad! and I'm so much luckier than lots of you. Thats why the esa medical exam seems so silly, it misses out a lot of any chronic illness anyone can have. The little bits that you can't do together make life so much harder and tiring. Thinking of ways to do ordinary things is frustrating and time consumming!

HELLO
I thought I'd read some threads about this, I still have the problem and my neck has been really bad today and I've been a bit dizzy for a few seconds at times. It may be just a bug, luckily I have a physio appointment with the specialist physio tomorrow, so for once my timing is better - the pain usually comes after an appointment! Thanks very much for your help, its got me down a little bit. Wondering where the heck the pain is coming from this time! I feel a bit better now. Thanks, love Sue0
