Hi
Recently I have been getting this new pain or ache in my feet. It is around the bottom of the heel area like my shoes are on too tight. Even when I walk bare foot I get it so know it is not my shoes. I dont get in my toes just the heel area on the bottom.
Is this arthritis pain? It is like a dull ache like I am no circulation there and it feel numb, but not numb if that makes sense.

    Hi Bailey

What kind of arthritis do you have? I know you can get pain at the back of the heel with some kinds of inflammatory arthritis, it's called plantar fasciitis and can be very uncomfortable and can make walking difficult. This may be what you are describing, you could try googling it to see if it matches your symptoms. Hope this helps.

    Hi Babette

That is also what I thought Bailey may be suffering from too but could not remember the name. I have a feeling you do not have to have arthritis to suffer from this.

As you say, it is worth googling.

    Hi Bailey

Yep could be Plantar Fasciitis as others have said, very painful, can cause swelling and can run right through to your toe. The other thing could you have done something to your achilles tendon again this would be around the heel and very painful. You should see your Dr. they can give insoles for the plantar which do help a lot so do get checked out.

Hi Elna following you again :)

    Hi
All I have been told so far is that I have inflammatory arthritis something called spondyloarthritis. I had my letter through and am due to start sulfasalzine in 3 weeks. I seem to be getting more symptoms as time goes on but never know when I should go to my GP or not as dont want to waste mine or his time for him to tell me, oh it is just the arthritis. I havent been able to straighten out my fingers for about 3 days either without ohysically foring them with the other hand. I am guessing this is another symptom.
I have been having new symptoms all at once this last week or so.
