Just wondering if there's anyone out there who get cutaneous vasculitis in addition to ra/sjogrens etc or just stand alone? and what there experience of it is? I have ra/sjogrens overlap with cutaneous vasculitis. Its the vasculitis that is causing be the most problems is terms of pain/generally feeling unwell. Just interested to hear in others experiences and how they manage it. Doesn't seem to be much info out there as its such a rare condition. Thanks.

Hello and Welcome to the site. I'm sorry, I have no experience, but I'm sure someone with experience will soon be along to help you.
Hope to hear from you again! All the best, Sue0 -

HI Kelly
Sorry to hear you arent feeling too well.
I havent heard of the cutaneous vasculitis.
I have RA with Sjorgens overlap too so would be interesting to find out if anyone on here can offer any advice.
Do you mind if I ask if the vasculitis presents itself with any skin problems, itching for instance.
Hope thats not totally off the wall, sorry if it is.

Hi Kelly,
I am sorry I am another one who can't help you but long, long ago they did think I might have it, well the vasculitis bit but the prefix was different. I didn't have mine was another circulatory condition but it is dealt with by a rumo so maybe yours can help you? I really hope you can get some answers though. Would the help line people be able to help? luv Cris0 -
Thanks for your messages. I've had overlap syndrome (ra/sjogrens) and cutaneous vasculitis for 6 1/2 years now. The vasculitis presents itself in my legs they become very inflammed and I get a red rash (as inflammation of blood vessels, guess blood leaked through), is very hot/painful difficulty walking. Has been so agressive that now have discolouration of the skin on my legs. Generally makes me have fatigue, flu like, recently been getting night sweats/weight loss. So far tried plaquenil and methotrexate but vasculitis seems to be following its own pattern. Currently come off meds as hoping to conceive in middle of flare up and on 40mg steroids daily, being reviewed tomorrowed : /
